About this event

National Youth Choirs of Great Britain- Tori and members of NYCGB staff talk about creating opportunities out of adversity in 2020 and then use this as a springboard to look at creative ways of working with online technology as we gradually return to in-person delivery in 2021. This presentation will give an insight into the mentality of both NYCGB and Stay At Home Choir and aims to inspire new projects and collaborations. Suitable for anyone working with ensembles or planning group music-making in 2021.

Athenry Music School Sinfonietta- Sinead Hayes will present a case study 'Zoom conducting - reframing the baton' examining how to prepare young people for a socially distanced performance via Zoom. Sinead Hayes will explore the skills developed by young musicians over Zoom, namely critical listening, critical musical observation and critical musical thinking.
