Event description
Join storyteller Harley Loudon for a Victorian horror story at our up-coming Crack a Story: Plant a Seed session online

About this Event

At our bi-weekly Crack a Story: Plant a Seed sessions we invite storytellers to share a story dear to them, with a spiritual theme. It is followed by a "crack" - Scottish word for conversation - exploring the story, its deeper meanings and how it speaks to us and our world today.

On Wednesday evening the 28th of October, we're delighted to be hosting singer and storyteller Harley Loudon for a Halloween-themed session. She'll be sharing 'The Pear Drum' , a Victorian horror story exploring a child’s need of magic, being good - or bad enough - in a world of uncertainty and strangeness.

Covid update: The temporary Covid-19 restrictions (originally due to end after this Sunday 25th), are extended for a further week, running until Monday 2nd November. The storytelling session will therefore move online. You'll be send a zoom link when you sign up.

The Crack a Story sessions are part of the Salisbury Centre's community programme and are offered on donation (suggested donation £5). All contributions will be split between the storyteller and the Salisbury Centre. Please add the code CAS to your transfer.

Accompanied children welcome, although the story is more tailored to adults and those over 12 years old.

If you have any questions, feel free to email us at
