Join Charlotte Baker for an online lesson on how to get the best out of writing crime fiction.

The Tutor

Dr Charlotte Baker is an author and associate lecturer, with an interest in crime, horror and dark romance. She has nearly 70 publications, ranging from micro fiction to novels to academic articles. Charlotte enjoys spending time with little boy, drinking coffee, walking, and conversing with the various monsters that float around her imagination.

The Workshop

A great introduction to writing crime fiction, this workshop will walk through the sub-genres and characteristics, as well as knowing the market and understanding the darker side of crime. We will discuss how to build character and atmosphere and points to consider for your plot. This session is aimed at those with an interest in writing crime as well as those who already have an outline or story planned or written.

This workshop will be delivered online and the link sent to you via Eventbrite 30 minutes before the start of the session.

Bring your writing tools and your imagination, and enjoy being led through the writing process by an expert in their field.
