Event description

Description

Craft Club is delighted to partner with Coventry 2021 to deliver a day exploring volunteer-led craft activity across the West Midlands.

Craft Club is a national campaign that champions craft groups in schools, galleries, libraries and anywhere else you can bring people together to share craft skills.

Our Skill Share events are a great oppurunity to meet with fellow Craft Clubbers, hear about what they do and also learn a new craft-based skill to use back at your own Craft Club.

In 2017 it was announced that Coventry has been chosen to be the UK's City of Culture for 2021, so this is a great opportunity to hear about all the ways your Craft Club can get involved.

In the afternoon there will a textile-tastic workshop delivered by the fantastic Anne Forgan and Kulwant Dhaliwal from Extraordinary Arts. Learn new techniques and processes to crochet a collaborative map of Coventry, highlighting all the Craft Clubs and other community groups in the local area. There will be plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits throughout the day and lots of great opportunities to build connections with other Coventry-based organisations.

So whether you are a well-seasoned Craft Clubber or itching to get started, we would be delighted for you to come along!

If you have any questions about the day feel free to contact Nick on n_kidd@craftscouncil.org.uk or call 0207 806 2522.
