Description
What: An interactive sector consultation day. An opportunity to chat/communicate/network/share and an opportunity for Craft NI to present on what has been achieved in the last year and consult on new strategies going forward. Craft NI would like this to be a chance for the sector to network, discuss and feedback.
For who: For organisations, individual craftspeople, arts officers and craft curators – we want this to be an open conversation that listens to a range of voices and opinions on how we are planning to move forward.
When: 19 November in Belfast
Cost: £10 per person. The cost of the event is to cover the lunch and room hire.
Agenda:
9:30am for registration for a 10am start.
10am - 10:20am: Guest speaker, Brian McGee, Head of Market Development, Crafts Council of Ireland.
10:20 – 10:35am: Craft NI to present on the last years achievements and our thoughts on the new strategy/plan going forward.
10:35am – 10:50am: Guest speaker, Seliena Coyle 'Craft on a wider scale'.
10:50 – 11:00am:Comfort break, tea and coffee
11:00 – 11:30am: round table discussions around Craft NI’s plans with flip charts, and an opportunity to feedback
11:30 – 12:45pm:"Speed Dating/Curating" – to provide craft organisations, arts officers, designer-makers the opportunity to meet on a one-to-one basis and discuss current projects, future plans and a chance to identify possible collaboration opportunities.
12:45pm – 1:45pm: Lunch
1:45pm – 2:00pm: Final remarks, summaries and network opportunity.
