Craft Masterclass - Batik Art Painting

What is modern batik? It's a brand-new kind of art which combines traditional batik techniques with modern art. This fun and therapeutic workshop is suitable for anyone, even absolute beginners.

During the 1 hour session, you will paint your own batik art while learning the history of ancient batik – from how it is made, to the tools & materials needed for batik canting.

You’ll experiment with mixing colours to produce the right tone and shade and then Batik paint on a pre-wax floral batik. There are various pre-wax batik designs to choose from, leaving you with a beautiful piece of batik art to bring home. Get creative and immerse yourself in the fascinating world of Batik with your own batik art ready to adorn your home.

Terms: This masterclass is recommended for 15+ years, children aged 6 - 14 years can attend with a paying ticket and must be accompanied by a paying adult.
