As part of the August Craft Month 2013 programme, Craft NI are hosting a series of key talks given by industry experts exploring the approach to retail markets, product pricing, and the use of e-commerce / social media to successfully develop craft businesses.
Do What You Do Best: A guide to getting the most out of the internet for designer-makers
Venue: Ulster Museum
Date & Time: 19 August, 11.00am-12.00pm
Entry: FREE but booking is essential.
The internet is an exciting new medium for designer-makers but it demands time and energy. There is a misconception that maintaining a website or online selling space steals time from making while forcing the creative mind to think in an uncreative way.
Dan Goode of Seek & Adore will show this doesn't have to be the case. Free entry but places are limited so booking is essential.
Further Craft NI Commercial Classes include:
- Retail Masterclass with Des Mulholland, L'Derry (7 August) & Belfast (14 August)
- Storytelling and Social Media, University of Ulster, 18 August - 1pm to 4pm
