The Crafts Council is collaborating with craft and design superstar Yinka Ilori on a national schools craft challenge Craft School: Yinka's Challenge, with prizes generously supplied by Cox London.

Throughout the challenge we will be inviting learners and teachers to celebrate and engage with making activities for creativity, collaboration and risk-taking - giving inspiring opportunities to develop the practice of craft in the classroom.

To launch this challenge we have a whole day of interactive sessions that celebrates and brings together teachers of craft. We have packed this event with a mixture of practical make-along sessions and inspirational speakers reflecting on current learning themes. Topping this exciting day of activity we will be reuniting Yinka Ilori with his own inspiration teacher in conversation.

Expert craft makers will take you through a series of practical craft based workshops, applicable to classroom learning for all key stages and linking to cross curricular activity on the key themes of Play, Storytelling and Empowerment.

You can choose from two ticket options;

General admission (£3.00 administration fee)

General admission + Material play pack (£10.00 - available up until the 1st July to allow for postage)

The play pack will include materials that will help you on your crafting journey throughout the day, however you will be able to participate in the event without this.

Working in partnership with NSEAD and Islington Council’s Enrichment Programmes 11 by 11 and 100 hours’ World of Work.
