Join us for an eco-friendly craft session! Come and make a wool craft of your choice with second hand wool from the Eco-Hub and support from our workshop leader!

How will the session work?:

In this workshop we will use secondhand wool to start fibre craft projects. This workshop is open to beginners or experienced knitters who would like to make use of the secondhand wool and work in a group environment. Beginners will be taught basic knitting and can start a simple project like a scarf or fingerless gloves. More experienced makers are welcome to continue with a project they are already working on.

We will use wool donated to the Eco-Hub, but if you already have some wool that you are not using, you are welcome to bring it to the workshop to share with others. We will also have knitting needles available to use during the workshop. If you already have and would like to bring your own needles to cast onto so you can take them away, this is encouraged.

No experience is needed, just enthusiasm and willingness to learn! Tea and Coffee will be available to purchase on the day for 50p a cup. This workshop is for university staff, students and the wider Glagsow community!

Event Information:

The event will take place in Room 206 on Level 2 of the Boyd Orr Building (Previously the Piccolino Cafe). You can find directions here.

There is an accesible entrance to the Eco-Hub via University Gardens and the James McCune Smith Learning Hub for those who need it. If you have any additional accessiblity issues, please contact Lauren (lauren.crilly@glasgow.ac.uk) and she will be happy to support if possible. There are 12 tickets available for this workshop. If you can't make the event, please cancel your ticket in advance or contact Lauren so we can keep on top of numbers.
