Crafting for the Community - Make a drawstring lined bag

What you will be doing

You will learn the sewing techniques to make a ribbon drawstring lined bag.

All materials and instructions will be provided.

YOU WILL NEED TO BRING A SEWING MACHINE WITH YOU.

If you have not used your machine a long time, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND you come to Craft club the week before on 10th January to familiarise yourself with your machine with the help from Eileen Jones.

How you are helping the partner charity

40 bags will be donated to Safer’s refuge and given to those who need their services. When women use the refuge, they sometimes arrive with very few items and without time to pack things. The draw bags will be provided with mini personal hygiene products so they can easily take them to use in the shared bathroom.
