About this event
On Tuesday, 16th September, at Waterlooville Community Centre, we are holding a creative space workshop / gathering on the topic of crafting unforgettable characters. I warmly invite you to join us. Whether you're creating a protagonist, antagonist, supporting character, or love interest, and whether you're fighting for realism or lost in a character profile nightmare, join the group! Bring your ideas and a notepad and pen, and together we'll find fighting form.
Attendees are encouraged to come prepared with a passage that is relevant to the theme of our discussion. This could be their favourite sentence, a thought-provoking paragraph, a compelling page, an inspiring chapter, or an entire book that reflects the topic at hand. We invite participants to share their chosen text with the group, providing insight into its significance and how it relates to our conversation. This creates a rich and engaging atmosphere for all attendees to connect over shared ideas and perspectives.
This event is intended to be interactive and collaborative, rather than a traditional class or writing session. Participants will be encouraged to engage in a group chat that focuses on a topic related to writing, where they can exchange ideas in a supportive environment.
