Event description
An introduction to business models for people working in arts.

About this Event

Please note that this event was originally scheduled for Monday 23rd March but it has been postponed due to government advice about the coronavirus situation. We will reschedule if we can and will update this listing with a new date and venue when we have that information.

Business models – what do you need to know if you work in arts?! By understanding your business model, you can become more confident in your income and outgoings. The session is for you, whether you are a freelance practitioner or working for a large organisation. We will introduce you to a simple tool to help you create, develop or review your business model as the starting point for a business plan (often a requirement for funding applications).

The workshop is delivered by Mark Cotton of Mark Cotton Consultancy. It is free to attend. Booking is essential.

Note that this session is followed by a second workshop in the afternoon, called "Knowing Your Value". We recommend that you attend both workshops but that's not essential. If you do attend for the whole day, please bring lunch with you.

We appreciate that there is concern about coronavirus at this time and we want to let you know that Torbay Culture is monitoring local/national advice. Our intention is to continue with this event, unless advised differently. If circumstances mean that we have to postpone or cancel, we will contact all those who have booked a place at the earliest opportunity.

If you are successful in obtaining a place and, due to unforeseen circumstances, you are unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible by emailing culture@tda.uk.net or cancelling your place via Eventbrite. This is because we will have others on a waiting list who would like to take your place. If you do not let us know, this will disadvantage someone else.
