Craftivism workshop: Mini Fashion Statements

If we want our world to be beautiful, kind and fair then shouldn’t our activism be beautiful kind and fair? Become a craftivist skilled in the art of gentle protest.
Led by the founder of Craftivist Collective in collaboration with 1215Today as part of the 6 week 'School Of Gentle Protest' you will learn how to do activism through craft (craftivism) in a slow, quiet, thoughtful and positive way so you can become an effective craftivist.
This workshop will be happening on the first day of Fashion Revolution Week 2017 and on the anniversary of the Rana Plaza factory collapse in Bangladesh where 1,138 garment workers were killed and many more injusticed on 24th April 2013. This project is suppoirting the Fashion Revolution to encourage millions of people to ask brands ‘Who made my clothes’ and demand greater transparency in the fashion supply chain.
Join our workshop to learn more about where craft can be a powerful tool in campaigning and use your head, heart and head to create beautiful small fashion statements supporting the organisation Fashion Revolution to put into the world as catalysts for change and practice the skill of shopdropping (the opposite of shoplifting). You will even be taught the skill of shopdropping too!
