Event description

Description

For our special Christmas Crafts Book Club we’ve invited archaeologist, historian and TV presenter Alexander Langlands to discuss his new book Craeft: How traditional crafts are about more than just making. The title, published by Faber & Faber, mounts a passionate argument for the renewed importance of making in the modern world. From weaving and bee-keeping to thatching and basket-making, this book will convince readers – for their health, wealth and well-being – to introduce more cræft into their lives.

Doors for the event open at 6.30pm and the talk will start at 6.45pm.

After the discussion there will be time for questions from the audience, a signing session, and a free drink or two.
