Crafts and Wellness – A 5-Week Course
Would you like to try some creative activities and take part in friendly discussions about wellbeing?
This 5-week course is for adults of all abilities and backgrounds. Each session will include:
- A short reflective activity to help us settle and think about the theme of the week.
- Time to talk together about wellbeing in a relaxed and supportive way.
- A choice of simple, fun craft activities.
Themes for each week:
- Identity and Presence – who we are and how we express ourselves.
- Connection and Belonging – relationships, community, and feeling part of something bigger.
- Intentions and Actions – what we can control and the choices we make.
- Gratitude – noticing and appreciating the good things in life.
- Resilience and Support – our strengths and the help we can draw on.
Some of the crafts we will try include:
- Making a personalised poem artwork.
- Learning to crochet and/or weave with wool and ribbon.
- Crafting with natural and recycled materials – making mobiles or dreamcatchers for your home.
- Making pressed-flower bookmarks and/or a gratitude journal.
- Creating friendship bracelets or affirmation hangings.
No experience is needed, and all materials will be provided. The course is a chance to explore creativity, share ideas, and make something meaningful in a friendly community setting.
