Crafty Art Family Learning at Goodmayes Library

A five week course (Thursdays from 12 January to 9 February) for adults to learn with children over 5 years old where you will develop and further your art skills in a fun and interesting way. Adults will learn the basic skills and knowledge that could inspire and enhance their career.
You will learn:
- About the tools and common terms used in sewing
- Basic sewing skills and hand stitches
- How to desing, combining different colours and textures
- Simple finishing techniques
Learners may expect to make small bags, mobile phone holder, animal shapes and more.
This five week workshop will be delivered by an experienced tutor that will offer you individual support and guidance and give you the opportunity to learn with your children. Delivered in partnership with Redbridge Institute.
This workshop is free and it is designed for adults to learn with children that are 5 years of age and over. Each adult can bring a maximum of 2 children who they will be responsible for.
Please book as many spaces as people attending (adults and children). If there are no free spaces available for you to book on this website, please contact the library as they might have some extra free tickets. Otherwise, please add your name to the waiting list and we will contact you if spaces become available.
There are limited spaces for this session, therefore please only enrol if you are fully committed to attending. If you are unable to attend, please advise us as soon as possible so we might offer your place to another family.
