Treat your little ones to a magical science-filled experience with Crafty Chemistry at Christmas! Whether they come with Mum, Dad, Nan, Grandad, Aunt or Uncle, this hands-on event is packed with festive experiments and creative crafts designed to spark curiosity and joy

Morning Session (10:00am – 12:30pm)

Join us for three exciting activities:

• Alka Splat Launch paint rockets using chemistry and decorate tote bags with vibrant splatter patterns.
• Metal Etching Turn a simple piece of metal into a personalised work of art using chemical reactions.
• Sun Catchers – Tree Decorations Create beautiful hanging ornaments that shimmer in the sunlight using a special liquid formula.

Afternoon Session (12:30pm – 3:00pm)

Continue the fun with:

• Bath Bombs Mix, mould, and wrap your own fizzy bath bombs—perfect for gifting or enjoying at home.
• Alcohol Ink Coasters Use chemistry and fire to design stunning, one-of-a-kind coasters.
• Sun Catchers – Gift Tag Decorations Craft dazzling gift tags that double as sun-catching decorations.

Ticket Info & Booking

• Each session includes 3 festive chemistry gifts per child.
• Full-day bookings include a complimentary hot drink and your choice of a mince pie or gingerbread man.
• Ensure you are booking the right session, 10am-12:30pm = morning, 12:30pm-3pm = Afternoon.
• Please note: To book a full-day experience, please make sure to select both the morning and afternoon sessions under the “Get Tickets” section

Adult Participation & Supervision

• All children must be accompanied by an adult.
• Adults do not require a ticket to attend but must purchase a ticket to participate in activities.
• Maximum 3 children per adult.
• Chemistry can get messy—please wear suitable clothing and tie back long hair.

Festive Treats Available

Hot chocolate, mince pies, and gingerbread men will be available for purchase throughout the day. Full-day ticket holders receive one complimentary treat and drink.

Additional Details

• Event Duration: Approx. 2.5 hours per session
• Age Range: Suitable for children aged 4–12 years
• Booking: All tickets must be purchased in advance. No tickets available at the door.
• Refunds: Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to a different time slot. They may be transferred to another child or adult.

This event involves flammable materials, electricity, water, and chemical reactions (including small explosions).

• Adults are responsible for supervising children at all times.
• All participants must follow safety instructions provided by staff.
• The organizers are not liable for personal injury or loss of property.

Photography Notice

Photos and videos will be taken during the event for promotional use. By attending, you grant permission for your image to be used in social media, publicity, and funding materials. If you or your child prefer not to be photographed, please inform a team member on arrival. We’ll provide a high-visibility vest to ensure exclusion from all media.
