CodeBug is a programmable and wearable device designed to introduce simple programming and electronic concepts to anyone, at any age. CodeBug can display graphics and text, has touch sensitive inputs and you can power it with a watch battery. At home, it is easy to program CodeBug using an online interface, which features colourful drag and drop blocks, an in-browser emulator and engaging community features.

At this workshop you’ll learn how to program the tiny CodeBug computer so it scrolls festive messages and animations. You’ll then design a festive cover for your CodeBug, complete with bells, ribbons and googly eyes!

There are two pricing options: for £20 you can enjoy the workshop and take your CodeBug home, either to give as an extra special present to family or friends or to keep and play with using other simple coding programs.

Alternatively, there’s the standard adult science club workshop price of £9 and you can take home the festive cover but not the CodeBug. If you enjoy the workshop so much that they want a CodeBug after all, there will be some available on the day to purchase for an additional £15.
