Event description

Description

As part of the NRW funded reconciling conservation and recreation project, we will be holding the next in the series of environmental workshops on Tuesday 20th March at Craig yr Aderyn (Bird's Rock).

Craig yr Aderyn is designated as an SPA and SSSI for breeding and roosting chough who forage its grassy slopes, and the only regular inland breeding colony of cormorant in Wales.

This session will focus on the unique environment of Craig yr Aderyn, the importance of protected sites, how to ensure minimal impact whilst leading groups and species identification in the field. With contributions from SNPA, NRW, the BMC and the RSPB.

Included in the session will be an introduction to the site, including flora and fauna identification, history, myth and legend, access information and a sharing of onsite best practice, all useful facts that can be shared with clients. This session is one of a number of sessions delivered in partnership with NRW.

This is a FREE workshop
