CRAIL Screening + Q&A: The Invisible Doctrine
Overview
CRAIL Screening + Q&A: The Invisible Doctrine
Join LSBU’s Creative and Responsible AI Lab (CRAIL) for a special screening of The Invisible Doctrine, a 75-minute documentary featuring George Monbiot, who unpacks the hidden history and everyday consequences of neoliberalism. Blending investigative storytelling with generative AI imagery, the film explores where neoliberalism came from, how it spread, and the ways this ideology shapes our politics, public services and everyday lives.
The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers, Peter Hutchison and Lucas Sabean, offering space to explore the film’s arguments, ask questions, and consider how creative and responsible uses of generative AI can challenge dominant narratives, serve the public good, and help imagine and communicate fairer economic systems, more democratic politics, and urgent environmental justice.
