Event description

Description

For our breakfast meeting in November, we return to the excellent Hurtwood Park Polo Club at Ewhurst Green.

Back in April, the Government introduced a new Apprenticeship Levy on larger employers, with annual paybills in excess of £3 million.

Less than 2% of UK businesses pay this levy, but all can benefit from this new source of funding. In fact, the Government has committed to an additional 3 million apprenticeship starts in England by 2020.

Businesses consider skills shortages and recruitment difficulties a bigger threat to performance than soaring oil prices and declining consumer spending, and employers say that qualified apprentices are 15% more employable than those with other qualifications.

Apprenticeships ensure that your workforce has the practical skills and qualifications your organisation needs now and in the future. Over 250,000 employer workplaces have an apprentice because they understand the benefits that apprentices bring to their business – increased productivity, improved competitiveness and a committed and competent work-force.

Our expert speaker from Guildford College's Services to Business team will explain the benefits of taking on an apprentice in your business and how to access valuable funding opportunities.

Join us for a delicious breakfast, invaluable networking and an inspiring speaker.
