Crash Course - Road Safety Course for all road users.
We want to reduce motoring casualties on the roads in Warwickshire.
Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service (WFRS) go to hundreds of road traffic collisions every year. Motorists will have been trapped, seriously injured or killed.
It is usually the case that the first person on the scene will be a fellow motorist.
There can be some uncertainties about what to do. Crash Course is a free training course designed to answer these uncertainties.
Three modules:
1: Incident scene management
On-scene incident management and personal safety for a motorists and other road users delivered by experienced frontline response personnel.
2: Lifesaving Skills
This module covers the basics of lifesaving first aid such as;
- Basic Life Support & Primary Survey
- CPR
- Defibrillator Use
3: What's Driving You?
This module delves into how physiological, and psychological conditions that can affect our driving.
The module also covers the effects of visual illusion phenomena such as 'Saccades' and 'Beam Blindless'
