Event description
We're bringing you the finest local brewers, makers, craftspeople, workshops, live music & DJs for our first ever winter festival at CRATE.

About this Event

We're throwing open the doors to our beer warehouse (also known as Mick's Garage) and filling it with our favourite brewers, local makers, artists and craftspeople, workshops, DJs and live music.

🍺BEER 🍺

Freshly brewed beer from CRATE's brewery next door will be flowing, including our brand new limited edition beer, Sticky Toffee Stout. We've also invited some great London brewers down to share their wares.

🍻GUEST BREWERIES 🍻

Deviant & Dandy Brewery from Hackney, founded in Spring 2017 by Byron Knight (co-founder of Beavertown) and Ben Taub. Neckstamper Brewing, hailing from Walthamstow, and Three Sods Brewery, who brew in the basement of the Bethnal Green Working Mens Club.

Also joining the line-up are Bohem Brewery, who'll be bringing traditional Bohemian-style lagers, brewed by Czechs, in London. Finally Two Tribes Brewing Co from Kings Cross, London and Hammerton Brewery, an Islington-based microbrewery with a taproom on Holloway Road.

🛍️MAKERS MARKET 🛍️

If you're shopping for gifts, our makers market has a selection of locally sourced and sustainably crafted products for sale. Queen's Yard based jeweller Emma Aitchison will be bringing stylish, sustainably sourced jewellery. Clement Knives will be bringing their beautifully crafted knives, with handles made from plastic rubbish, removed from the River Lea. For the record collectors, Hidden Sounds will be bringing a selection down from their shop on Cambridge Heath Road.

For edible treats, we'll have cakes and sweet treats from Galeta, and innovative plant-based cheeses from Hackney-based I AM NUT OK.

🍵WORKSHOPS 🍵

Camden based speciality tea-shop MEI LEAF will be bringing a selection of seasonal teas, as well as running tea workshops throughout the day.

You will also have the chance to learn how to wheel-throw at pottery workshops led by Potters Thumb, the Brighton-based pottery studio who co-developed the innovative recycled-glass crockery used at Silo. Alongside masterclasses on how to make your own kombucha by JARR Kombucha's Adam Vanni.

🎵LIVE MUSIC & DJS 🎵

The festival will move to the beat of a line-up of live music curated by the Mick's team. We'll be joined in the afternoon by hotly-tipped and Worldwide FM-approved singer-songwriter Forest Law, with Leeds-based dance band Galaxians getting us grooving in the evening. As well as Club Mick's DJs pato, Joshua Murfitt and The Iron Glove filling in the gaps.

For those who want to continue the party, CRATE’s warehouse will be transformed into Mick's Garage for Club Mick's: Velvet Season & The Hearts Of Gold (All Night Long), East London’s renowned late-night dance club.

🍕FOOD 🍕

We also have a selection of food trucks to be announced, keeping you fed throughout the day, as well as CRATE Pizzas available all day.
