The conference offers an exciting multi-disciplinary programme with presentations and seminars on exercise physiology, biomechanics, performance conditioning, psychology and nutrition for sport and exercise.
The conference is open to current A Level students, undergraduate and post-graduates of sport, exercise or related disciplines and members and coaches of academies and sports clubs who wish to attend independently or to support their students and members.
One of the main focuses of any conference is to bring lots of people together who have a shared interest so that they can discuss, share ideas and learn more from each other. Breaks will provide a relaxed opportunity to meet other delegates and speakers.

Charles Spring is a Senior Lecturer in Sport Management, Development and Martial Arts, for the University of Derby Buxton. He is Programme Leader for the BA (Hons) Martial Arts Theory and Practice the only degree of its kind in the world. He also is the principal instructor for Ronin Budo with clubs in Derbyshire and the West Midlands and is also a trustee of the Disability Martial Arts Association. His Martial Arts career has spanned 43 years.
His research includes a range of work in experiential learning and martial arts and social inclusion in sport. He is currently engaged in research around the idea of professionalization in martial arts instruction.
