Description

‘Mae consensws cynyddol y dylai addysg ffurfiol feithrin sgiliau creadigrwydd a meddwl critigol myfyrwyr i'w helpu i lwyddo mewn economïau cyfoes, wedi'u globaleiddio yn seiliedig ar wybodaeth ac arloesedd’ OECD, 2015

Er efallai fod awydd cynyddol i feithrin creadigrwydd mewn addysg, ychydig iawn o ymyriadau cwricwlaidd neu systemig sy'n bodoli sy'n cefnogi datblygiad creadigrwydd yn yr ystafell ddosbarth. Mae un eithriad yma yng Nghymru, lle mae rhaglen Dysgu Greadigol drwy'r Celfyddydau wedi ymgysylltu â dros 950 o ysgolion i ddatblygu creadigrwydd athrawon a dysgwyr ers 2015.

Bydd y sesiwn hon ar Greadigrwydd yn y Cwricwlwm yn cyfeirio at y cwestiynau canlynol:

Beth yw dysgu creadigol?

Sut mae’n edrych o fewn ysgolion yng Nghymru?

Hefyd, bydd Ruth Thackray o GwE yn drafod creadigrwydd yng nghyd-destun y cwricwlwm newydd a bydd phanel o benaethiaid o ranbarthau GwE ac ERW yn rhannu mewnwelediadau o'u profiad o ddatblygu dysgu creadigol ar draws y cwricwlwm ag yr effaith canlyniadol ar ddisgyblion.

9.15 Chyfle i weld enghreifftiau byw o ddysgu creadigol gan rai o'n Hysgolion Creadigol Arweiniol, yn yr Arena

‘There is a growing consensus that formal education should cultivate the creativity and critical thinking skills of students to help them succeed in modern, globalised economies based on knowledge and innovation’ OECD, 2015

Although there may be an increasing desire to nurture creativity within education, very few school curricular or systemic interventions exist which support the development of creativity in the classroom. One exception is here in Wales, where the Creative Learning through the Arts programme has engaged with over 950 schools in developing the creativity of teachers and learners since 2015.

This session on Creativity in the Curriculum will address the following questions:

What is creative learning?

What does it look like in schools in Wales?

Ruth Thackray from GwE will also discuss creativity in the context of the new curriculum and a panel of headteachers from the GwE and ERW regions will share insights from their experience of developing creative learning across the curriculum and the resulting impact on learners.

9.15 An opportunity to see live examples of creative learning from some of our Lead Creative Schools, Main Arena

9.45 Session registration and coffee, St David’s Room.
