About this event

  • Event lasts 6 hours

Join mixed media artist Bev Morton for a fabulous day of creative experimentation and fun using gelliplates here at The Craft House

If you are interested in learning some of the techniques that Bev uses in her beautiful work, this is the class for you! Her goal is to share the joys, sense of play and skills with others.

We will be creating stunning one-off monotype prints using local wild foliage and acrylic paints. Each print is completely individual and captures each moment creating an image caught in time.

The workshop is suitable for all levels of experience; some will have no experience of either gelliplates or any kind of printing and others will have done it before.

No matter what level of skill you have, you will be supported throughout the workshop by Bev to help you achieve beautiful prints.

Be quick though – these workshops always sell out fast!

All tools and materials will be provided. If you do have your own gelliplate, please feel free to bring it along.

Cost - £80, includes all materials and equipment use.

Skill Level - Suitable for beginners as well as more experienced artists.

Organised by

The Craft House was established in 2016 in Saltaire by April Chamberlain, who continues to manage the business. Having started in Saltaire, The Craft House is now run from new, larger, premises at 109-111 Main Street, Bingley. We have a lovely ground floor cafe and welcoming workshop spaces on the first floor (reached by stairs with two handrails). We offer a vibrant programme of art, craft and textile workshops and courses for adults, enabling you to develop existing skills as well as try new activities. Working closely with a team of talented artist/maker tutors, we provide expertly-run classes in a friendly and supportive atmosphere. We cater for a range of skill levels, from first-time participants to people with existing skills (including other professional artists and makers looking to develop their techniques). Our emphasis is on encouraging creativity and enjoyment whilst passing on key skills. We also cater for private parties and events - please telephone us or call into the cafe to discuss. Please note that all our events are subject to us achieving minimum booking requirements, as we need to ensure they are commercially viable for our tutors - if we have to cancel an event, we will refund your ticket and give you as much notice as possible.
