TOGETHER CREATE - ART AND MAKING IN GRAYS

Together Create is a brand new community arts programme in Thurrock which launched in February 2025. It brings people together across generations, cultures and backgrounds to create, connect, learn and collaborate to make change in their local area

Come along to our art and making sessions in Tilbury to unleash your creativity in a fun, welcoming, safe and supportive environment. Everybody is welcome and no previous experience is needed.

Our sessions take place every Wednesday from 3:30-5pm on the following dates:

  • 18th June
  • 25th June
  • 2nd July
  • 9th July
  • 16th July
  • 23rd July

Tilbury Family Hub, Anchor Field, London Rd, Tilbury RM18 8EY.

With expert artists Marsha Ashley and Salina Jane we will create our own artwork and contribute towards the making of our Together Create Community Picnic Blanket, discovering different artistic and cultural traditions each week, and exploring the idea of 'Community as a Superpower' in celebration of this year's theme for Refugee Week.

There will also be the chance to work towards sharing some of the work we create together at summer events taking place in Thurrock.

No previous experience is required, all are welcome. Please book in to reserve your space.

About Together Productions:

We produce innovative collaborative arts projects that connect people, organisations and audiences across social and cultural divides. We use music and the arts as a catalyst to break down barriers, reduce isolation and enhance well-being. We produce high quality artistic work that is grown through creative collaboration, participation and experimentation.

Our work includes those who are marginalised or excluded, such as displaced people and those seeking sanctuary, people facing mental health challenges, the elderly, the financially disadvantaged and socially excluded.
