Spend a relaxed evening using gel-plate monoprinting techniques to create your own unique tote bags. Using a gel printing plate, fabric paints, and a range of textures such as lace, leaves, and stencils, you will experiment with layering colours and patterns directly onto the fabric. Each tote bag is a one-of-a-kind artwork that you can take away at the end.
This workshop is beginner-friendly and all materials are provided.
There is a suggested ticket price of £3 to cover the cost of materials, with a ‘Pay What You Can’ option.
This workshop is part of a programme of events for Loughborough University's Sustainability Week. It is also part of Study Week.
About Create & Connect
Create and Connect is a series of monthly creative workshops open to all students, taking place in the Library on the second Tuesday of the month. Each session is a one-off and must be booked in advance. They are a chance to meet new people, learn new skills and make something to take away.
Accessibility
There is step free access into the building and Seminar Room One is located on the entry level floor. There are accessible toilets nearby.
