Celebrate new beginnings at the start of term and make something for your room! In this one-off workshop, you will learn basic macramé knots to create a beautiful, handmade plant hanger. Macramé is the art of knotting cords into patterns, perfect for adding style and greenery to your space while learning a relaxing, mindful craft.
This workshop is beginner-friendly and all materials are provided – plants are not included!
Once you have finished your plant hanger, why not head down to the Houseplant Sale to pick up a plant to fill it with. The sale takes place outside the Students’ Union on Wednesday 15 and Thursday 16 October from 10am to 7pm.
There is a suggested ticket price of £3 to cover the cost of materials, with a ‘Pay What You Can’ option.
About Create & Connect
Create and Connect is a series of monthly creative workshops open to all students, taking place in the Library on the second Tuesday of the month. Each session is a one-off and must be booked in advance. They are a chance to meet new people, learn new skills and make something to take away.
Accessibility
There is step free access into the building and Seminar Room One is located on the entry level floor. There are accessible toilets nearby.
