Use this CPD to inspire your class to become designers as they respond to a set design brief for a ballet production.
For five lessons, your students will be honorary members of the design team at the Royal Opera House. Kevin O'Hare, Director of The Royal Ballet, will commission your young designers to design a stage set for the ballet.

What is Create & Design?
Create & Design is a hands-on design skills programme that supports students' creative problem-solving, develops empathy, builds careers understanding, and connections between STEM and the arts, using ballet or opera as a stimulus.
During CPD training, you’ll engage with the building blocks of stage design, developing your confidence to implement creative techniques in the classroom.
Our practical, full day, certified CPD training is led by a team of ROH artists. It is suitable for class teachers, or subject leads. No previous experience of design teaching or opera is needed.
Create & Design is part of The ROH National Schools Programme and is FREE for all state funded primary schools.
Discover award-winning, flexible learning programmes, powered by the creative excellence of the Royal Opera House – for creativity and confidence in every classroom.
