Event description

Description

Ever wanted to write and build your own interactive adventure story game? Maybe just curious about how you can make a game but not sure where to start? Just want to try something fun and play around with your ideas?

Come along to our free hands-on workshops where you will be using Twine, a free and easy to use tool, to create your own super-short interactive, choose-your-own-adventure style story.

Callum and Nicole from The National Videogame Arcade will introduce Twine, help you experiment with your ideas and understand the basics of storytelling. By the end of the workshop you will create a simple Twine game you can share online and in libraries.

No programming or word skills required; just a good imagination, enthusiasm and a desire to tell a story!

This workshop is suitable for 11-18 year olds. Places are limited so book now to avoid disappointment.

This is a 5-week workshop which will run every Wednesday.

Storysmash is a project delivered by Nottingham City Libraries in partnership with The National Videogame Foundation and Nottingham UNESCO City of Literature, funded by Arts Council England.
