Event Details

Launching in September 2013, Open School East is an art school and communal space housed in the Rose Lipman Library in Hackney, a formerly disused library and community centre. To mark the beginning of the first term of the school we will be hosting a discussion, in the building, on the role that artists, curators and practitioners can play in creating new forms of education. Issues about the future of self-organised schools and their relationship to society will also be discussed and analysed.

The talk will be Open School East's first inaugural public event and will consider issues of access and usefulness.

Organised with Open School East
