INTENTION
The idea of CREATE WITH NATURE is that the kids do not only have an opportunity of unique creative expression but also a direct contact with the natural world through the materials used for creating and discovering something new about it too.
Although there is a theme for each session, children are encouraged to find their own creative expression, not just copy what is presented to them.
STRUCTURE
We usually start the session with exploring a particular animal, creature, plant, part of nature or season we are going to create. Children are invited to bring in their ideas and knowledge. Then we move to the creative activity.
MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES
We work with natural materials that I gather myself from nature (and also invite the kids and parents to bring what they find - if they want) often in combination with upcycled materials from home or Scrapstore. We use various techniques like watercolours, brusho powder paints, pastels, crayons, markers, air-drying clay, wool felting and more. For those who feel confident there is a possibility to use glue guns and wood burning tools in some sessions.
POLICY
Children under 8 must be accompanied by and adult (at least 1 for up to 3 kids). Parents would be asked to fill a short registration form before the workshop (both physical and electronic form could be provided).
