Do you have an idea for an activity, event, or project you want to make a reality? Not sure where to start? This session is for you!
About this event
About the Fund: The Create Your Docks fund aims to support communities to get actively involved in the area’s regeneration. Round two is designed to enable local community groups, organisations and people living or working in the Royal Docks to activate and celebrate the area.
Application deadline: 13 May 2022 - 12 noon
About the Session: The only in-person session will offer a unique opportunity to meet people living and working in across the Royal Docks and Newham.
The session will be broken up into two parts:
Part one will offer a chance to find out more about the fund and offer an opportunity for people to ask questions relating to the fund. You will also hear from previous Create Your Docks grantees.
Part two offers a chance to meet, connect and network with other individuals, community-led organisations and not for profit groups across Royal Docks and Newham.
In-person venue: City Hall
All sessions will be led by the Royal Docks Team and supported by Groundwork London.
About us: The Royal Docks is undergoing a profound and exciting transformation. Once London’s gateway to world trade, today the area is re-emerging as a nationally significant business and visitor destination, and a vital part of the capital’s civic and cultural heart.
Major developments in the area are unlocking thousands of new and affordable homes and workplaces, and significant investment in transport infrastructure and the public realm is boosting connectivity and bringing a wealth of new opportunities to the area and its communities.
The role of Create Your Docks is to fund projects that offer opportunities for different communities to come together and deliver activities that are welcoming, inclusive and create a vibrant sense of place.
We can’t wait to see your ideas come to life!
