Event description
How can we ensure that healthcare professionals are in the best position to use digital to make Leeds the best city for Health & Wellbeing

About this Event

The Leeds health and care system wants Leeds to be a healthy and caring city for all ages; a strategic aim of our transformation plan is to move care closer to a person’s home.

Whilst many health and care professionals have an interaction with some IT systems, technology is becoming more pervasive, especially in a home environment. For example, our workforce will increasingly have to be comfortable with cameras monitoring a person’s home, smart devices provided by health and care services or privately provided, social media etc.

With this growth in healthtech in mind, we would like health and care professionals to have an eye to how digital technology could help to improve care processes, and to be confident to propose improvements, whether this be as operational practitioners or digitally-savvy professional leaders.

This exploratory workshop will bring together trainers, educators, developers and health and care professionals. Senior leaders from the Leeds Health and Care Academy and the City Digital Team will present the challenge and lead an exploration into ways to better prepare our workforce to become digitally ready.
