Event description

Description

The Young Scot Fairer Future Panel is an incredibly passionate group of 16 young people aged 14-21 who are examining race equality in Scotland.

Facilitated through Young Scot’s Co-design process, the panel are exploring (amongst other topics) the six core themes of Scotland’s Race Equality Framework (see below) and how it relates to young people. The group will present their recommendations and vision for race equality in Scotland by 2030 to the Scottish Government in late summer 2017.

We would love you to be part of this process and we invite you to the Dovecot to collaborate with the panel, young people, organisations and decision makers from across Scotland.

Angela Constance, Cabinet Secretary for Communities, Social Security and Equalities will also be joining us.

Working together, through interactive activities, we will explore the Race Equality Framework, share stories and collectively create actions for change.

If you are young person or are interested in a fairer future for Scotland in a professional or personal capacity you are very welcome to join us.

Travel reimbursement for young people attending this event is available on request and can provide additional support as required. Please email CoDesign@young.scot with your support needs. Lunch will be provided on arrival.

Places are available on a first come first served basis. For those supporting young people to attend, please choose the group of young people ticket option to the names and ages of confirmed attendees. You can of course provide these later of change the names by emailing CoDesign@young.scot.
