About this Event

We are keeping a close eye on all updates in relation to COVID-19. You are able to attend this event virtually or physically. If changes deem this event to go online only, you will be given the option to attend an additional online event for free or a refund.

Please adhere to all safety guidance given in your pre-event email, on site, and any local laws and restrictions.

A sustainable and healthy workforce creates a happier place to work, boosts productivity, reduces mishaps and overall boosts the company's reputation and revenue.

Any company that wishes to become truly sustainable focuses on social, environmental and economic aspects (also known as people, planet and profit). Join us to discuss how employees and employers can create a sustainable work environment.

The Future Economy Network is excited to welcome We Are Possible and Network members Triodos Bank and Stride Treglown to speak at this event.

This event will be held at Future Leap, The Future Economy Network's sustainable business hub, where you will be able to check out our own co-working and office space ready for hire!

More information to be announced.

"Physical Attendance" tickets include breakfast and refreshments.

John Wright, Architect & Director at Stride Treglown will be speaking on “What is the point of an office in a post-Covid world?”

Anyone who was an ‘office worker’ in the pre-Covid world is now a ‘home worker’. Most businesses have adapted to the change, and some are even finding that they are more efficient, not catastrophically less efficient as many feared. And many people are loving the experience – no commute, work hours that suit you, put some washing on in the middle of the day, do a spot of gardening at lunchtime, etc

Facebook have told all their staff that they can work from home permanently, so why would any business need an office anymore?

John will outline the benefits that having an office bring to an organisation, and will explore how and why the office will need to change and adapt to attract people back.

Daniel Foster, Talent Acquisition Manager at Triodos Bank UK, will discuss the importance of Diversity and Inclusion in building a sustainable work environment that truly values the wellbeing of all. Dan will explain how Triodos has tackled the stigma and normalised the conversation with regards to mental health in the workplace, and will go on to explore more broadly his work to develop a Diversity and Inclusion strategy for the Bank.

Expect reflections on the importance of an inclusive working environment and ideas to take back to your workplace.
