Event description

Description

Do you find yourself using the same handful of activities all the time because you trust that they will work? Does that inspire you and your students, or is it starting to feel stale and boring? Would you like to change what you do, but don’t really know how to start? This workshop led by IOE CI's Philippa Vallely and Oundle School's Annabel Hurley, apart from giving practical examples, will look at the principles behind creating great materials, with the aim of helping teachers understand what makes an activity successful, think about their own teaching context and style, and be able to apply their own creativity and imagination when designing new activities.

This course is for current mainstream primary and secondary school new and experienced teachers. In the event that the course is over-subscribed, the IOE CI reserves the right to cancel bookings for teachers not working in mainstream schools; however, if demand is sufficient enough we will try to repeat the event later in the year.

Bookings are limited to two teachers per school.

(Please not that lunch will not be provided on the day. We ask that participants either bring lunch with them or get their lunch during the hour break)

Duration: 1 day

Costs: Free
