About this Event
Creating an induction pack is an essential to ensure volunteers have a smooth transition into part of your volunteering team, allowing the new volunteer to understand their role and their responsibilities as well as providing them with support and guidance.
This interactive workshop will introduce how to create a manual for volunteers, and go through what needs to be included. We will offer guidance on how to creating training plans, and look at examples of ways to mentor and manage volunteers.
- Explore what to include in a checklist to ensure that committee members have all the information they need to carry out their role.
- Offer guidance on how to carry out a skills audit to identify and prioritise training needs for new (and existing) committee members.
- Look at examples of how you can provide support and peer mentoring to new committee members.
Please note, this workshop is a paid event (£50 + VAT), with discounts available for Plunkett Foundation members (£30 + VAT). Places are restricted to 8 people to allow for the interactive elements.
