About this event

The event will start with an illustrated talk on the creation of the Solar System Greenway from its origins as a main line railway to its current status as a Site of Interest for Nature Conservation and Urban Green Corridor stretching from the city centre into the country side.

The talk will take place at St Nicholas Environment Centre.

The following Saturday morning the talk will be followed up with a guided walk with an optional cycle ride. Ride and walk details will be made clear at thr talk. The walk will end at the Brunswick Organic Nursery in Bishopthorpe and those with cycles can continue the length of the Greenway to Riccall. Participants will have lunchtime refreshment options.

Children under 16 should be accompanied by a responsible adult.
