Taking the garden as inspiration we will explore artists who have been inspired by gardens, such as, Monet, Matisse and Maria Sybilla Merian. There will be demonstrations and practical exercises. Inspired by these artists, we will work in the garden, using creativity, abstraction and poetry as inspiration to create unique works. Materials will be available but participants are encouraged to bring along materials that they enjoy working with if they wish.

This course will be taught by Joanna McCormick, local artist and teacher.
