Creating During Crisis
Event Information
About this Event
Artists have always been resourceful and resilient during times of crisis. Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele's creative bursts before their untimely deaths from the Spanish flu pandemic echoes our current times. Official War artists such as Henry Moore and Graham Sutherland created some of their most poignant work observing war at home and abroad. While Picasso defiantly stayed in Paris for the duration of WWII.
In this talk, moderated by Paul Carter Robinson FRSA Editor of Artlyst we welcome panellists Matthew Burrows MBE Artist and founder of the Artist Support Pledge and Artist/Gallerist Zavier Ellis of Charlie Smith London.
