About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours 15 minutes

For charities, raising awareness, building engagement, and encouraging support through volunteers, donations, and events is absolutely vital. But with demand for services higher than ever, how you communicate with your audience can make all the difference.

Smaller charities often don’t have the resources to hire experienced marketing professionals—but that doesn’t mean you can’t communicate powerfully and effectively.

This practical workshop is designed to help you sharpen your communication and marketing efforts by guiding you to:

  1. Get clear on who you're speaking to
  2. Understand what your audiences really need
  3. Focus your efforts on the audiences that matter most
  4. Create content that truly connects and drives action

Whether you're a team of one or a small group wearing many hats, this session will help you make the most of your messaging.

About Claire Grundy

With over 20 years of marketing experience, Claire now specialises in working with charities—one of the sectors she’s most passionate about. She understands first-hand the unique challenges charities face when it comes to marketing: limited budgets, stretched resources, and the constant need to build awareness, drive engagement, and inspire donations.

Claire’s career has always focused on one core principle: truly understanding the audience—who they are, where they are, and how to connect with them in meaningful ways.

She brings a wealth of insight from working across a range of industries, and today, she splits her time between her role as Charity Development Officer at The Chester Bluecoat Charity and running her own marketing consultancy, CGC Marketing.

Claire’s practical, people-focused approach is all about helping charities cut through the noise and make a bigger impact—without needing a big budget.
