Creating High Performing Teams
Event Information
Description
To misquote Tolstoy's famous observation on families, "Happy teams are all alike; every unhappy team is unhappy in its own way." Our experience of working with teams is that there are many reasons why some teams do not work together effectively certainly more than the famous five dysfunctions identified by Patrick Lencioni.
We all know that when a team is not working effectively the cost in low productivity, poor decision making, lack of innovation and increase in turnover can be significant. High performing teams achieve results, make better decisions, innovate more and create much more satifisfying and engaging places to work. We believe that the investment in team development is one of the best returns on investment you can make.
This workshop is designed for leaders of teams, and HR leaders responsible for supporting teams, to gain better insights into why teams derail and what can be done to change the dynamic and raise performance.
In this workshop you will gain insight into:
- The common problems in teams and what prevents them from being successful
- Diagnosing the issues which are detracting from the effectiveness of the team (conscious and unconsious)
- Identifying solutions which can improve teamwork, enhance team organisation and enable the leader of the team to be more effective
- A range of models and tools that can be used to support work in this area (Lencioni, Hogan, MBTI, DiSC etc) if used appropriately.
The workshop facilitators will be:
- Chris Woodman, Managing Director, Leadenhall Consulting and former HR Director for Fidelity International, Colt Telecom and Aspen Insurance who has spent the last seven years working with Executive and Functional Teams on their performance.
- Liz Codd, Director, Leadenhall Consulting and former HR Director for Japan and Asia Pac, Head of Leadership Development and Coaching at Fidelity International and highly experienced Team Coach and Facilitator
- John Anderson, Associate, Leadenhall Consulting and former Performance Director for Team GB Canoeing for 20 years and leading performance coach.
The facilitation team will be bringing their experiences of working with teams in multiple sectors and situations and bring real live examples to the workshop.
Delegates will recieve a copy of the book The Five Dysfunctions of a Team by Patrick Lencioni and a personalised DiSC profile to be used as part of the workshop.
