This session explores how having a neurodivergency can affect someone's experience of youth settings.
Key learnings would include:
- Sensory processing and how our environment can affect a person's experience in your setting.
- How small adjustments to our communication can impact our approach in a positive manner
- Understanding behaviours that neurodivergent people can express including anxiety and overstimulation (meltdowns/shutdowns)
- Practical resources and strategies to support you and the children and young people within your setting.
This session is delivered by a neurodivergent practitioner who work with young people with additional support needs.

Where there is a cost to attend your organisation will be invoiced in advance of the event date. If you need to cancel your place on the above event, please let us know as soon as possible as there may be a waiting list. No cost will be incurred for all cancellations up to 24 hours before the event, any cancellations after this will be subjected to a £15 cancellation fee.
