Lunch meeting - 12:30pm to 02:30pm
Creating intelligent security operations
Cyber security is firmly on the agenda of the C Suite. But all too often a reactive approach is taken to cyber defences, combined with zero tolerance of any perceived failure in the form of breaches. In the constantly evolving world of cyber-crime, such an approach is impractical and may be actively damaging.
Instead a proactive approach to cyber threats is needed, one that uses the latest techniques in data analysis, artificial intelligence and shared information about threats. An essential part of defence is knowing what to expect: much of the information is out there, if you know where to look.
It is also important to realise that not everything is a crisis. Small breaches that get blown out of proportion can waste valuable resource and, perhaps worse, result in complacency as a result of “crying wolf”. Instead there needs to be a focus on key assets and on the key risks they face.
With a growing community of IT Professionals joining The IT Security Hub, attendees not only receive exclusive access to new research, but also get the chance to provide input into resources and set the agenda for future events.
During the Lunch we will focus on
- Develop a proactive security posture
- Detect the nature and scale of cyber attacks
- Focus response on high-value, high-risk assets
Who is invited?
CIOs, CISOs, C-suite and other very senior information security and information technology professionals from large companies
