About this event

We are so excited to welcome you back for our August creative session!

In this session we will be returning to the mindful artform of mandalas!

Mandalas are beautiful and intricate patterns traditionally formed in a circular shape. We will be breaking down these patterns layer by layer and building up detail through repeated patterns to create an overall mandala at the end.

On joining the session, Adelaide, who is facilitating the session, will briefly explain the process around creating mandalas, and the materials available for you to use. Throughout the session she will offer guidance, suggestions and encouragement.

When we look at mandalas layer by layer, we take what can feel like an overwhelming image and break it down into smaller steps. Thoughts of perfectionism can hold us back from being fully creative and trying new things and taking it a step at a time can help us build up confidence and resilience. Summer can also feel like a busy time for many of us, so take this session as an invitation to slow down, connect with your community, and meet fellow creatives.

Take this session as an opportunity to relax, get creative, and connect with your local community

Frequently asked questions

What accessibility will the venue have?

The session will take place on the ground floor which has wheelchair access along with a disabled toilet. Disabled Parking is also available if required.

I don’t consider myself creative, is this session for me?

Absolutely! Our sessions are planned with mixed abilities in mind. These sessions are a great way to introduce yourself to the creative activity we have planned, and you will be supported throughout.

I’m disabled; can I bring my carer with me?

Of course. The group can get a little busy sometimes, so if you feel that you need a little extra support we always recommend bringing someone along with you. You can always reach out to us ahead of time if there are additional adjustments you need.
