Event description
Creating Online Video Content: A basic guide for Notts Heritage sites and providers (For Nottinghamshire Heritage Forum Members)

About this Event

Nottinghamshire Heritage Forum members are invited to join us for a training session delivered by former BBC Video Journalist & Assistant Producer Paul Bradshaw.

Registration will commence at 9.15am.

The training will start at 9.30am and the session will finish at about 2.30pm.

The training will cover:

  • Video shooting essential
  • Professional video tips and tricks
  • Creating effective video content
  • Best in class interviewing techniques
  • Optimising your video content for online platforms

Important - What do you need to bring?

Please bring a tablet or mobile smart phone and the electrical chargers and make sure there is enough free space to shoot some video and image content.

Where possible please make sure you have iMovie (iPhone or iPad) or Kinemaster (for android) downloaded to your phone or tablet. They’re free video editing apps. These apps should come already loaded on your device or you can download them from your app store or play store.

Make sure all latest system updates are installed on your device prior to attending as the signal at Creswell Crags is poor.

You may also be interested to download SnapSeed which is a free photo editing app but this is not essential.

You may find it useful to bring paper and a pen in case you wish to make notes.

If there is time, part of the day may involve filming outside so please dress appropriately.

A packed lunch, there is a café onsite but as we are so tight on time it would be useful to bring your own lunch.

This training is kindly being funded by Nottinghamshire County Council and supported by Creswell Crags.

How do I sign up?

  • Please book your place via Eventbrite
  • Please note the training is open to current Nottinghamshire Heritage Forum members only. We regret that any bookings received from non-forum members will be cancelled unless accompanying a membership application and payment is made. Please note a £3 charge applies at Creswell Crags for all day car parking.
