Join us for an informal, discussion-led webinar designed for secondary maths and science teachers who want to strengthen curriculum coherence and deepen student understanding.
This session will take the form of a guided FAQ, where our specialists respond to common questions from schools about linking maths and science effectively. We’ll explore how cross-curricular alignment can support progression, reduce misconceptions, and help students apply their mathematical knowledge more confidently in biology, chemistry, and physics.
Through practical examples, we’ll discuss how key mathematical concepts such as proportional reasoning, algebra, graphing, and data analysis underpin scientific learning at KS3 and KS4, and how aligning sequencing, language, and representations across departments can make these connections clearer for students. We’ll also highlight how White Rose Education’s online resources can support a joined-up, coherent approach.
The session will conclude with dedicated time for additional questions, giving you the opportunity to raise specific curriculum or classroom challenges.
This webinar is ideal for:
- Secondary maths teachers
- Secondary science teachers (biology, chemistry, and physics)
- Heads of department and curriculum leaders
You’ll gain:
- Clear answers to frequently asked questions about maths–science alignment
- Practical ideas to support collaboration between departments
- Insight into how White Rose Education’s resources support cohesive, high-quality teaching
Secure your place and explore how a more joined-up approach to maths and science can lead to stronger outcomes for students.
