About this event

Join us for a practical and focused workshop designed for leaders and safeguarding professionals working in residential and supported accommodation settings. Building on the foundations of Regulation 40 and 27 training, this session explores how services can strengthen their oversight, monitoring, and strategic response by identifying patterns and trends within internal reporting.

Grounded in the Lighthouse Model of safeguarding, quality, and intervention, the session offers transferable skills that support leaders in analysing data meaningfully, enhancing safeguarding practices, and improving organisational outcomes. Participants will learn how to connect daily incident reporting to broader governance systems, monitor safeguarding and wider organisational risks, and apply insight to guide team support, service planning, and strategic improvement.

This session provides a vital foundation for those seeking to transition from reactive compliance to proactive, evidence-informed leadership that supports safer and more effective services for children and young people.

Your trainer, Carla Keyte, brings extensive expertise in safeguarding, quality assurance, and compliance across the residential childcare sector. With a career spanning role as Registered Manager, Head of Care, and Head of Quality and Compliance for an organisation overseeing over 30 homes rated as Good and Outstanding, Carla offers deep operational insight and strategic leadership. She is recognised for her work in resolving complex compliance issues, embedding therapeutic models, and supporting providers through regulatory enforcement. Passionate about love-led, relational practice, she empowers services to move beyond compliance, developing governance frameworks and whole-system strategies that improve outcomes and build safe, stable, and loving homes where children can thrive.

Delivery - The virtual classroom is hosted on Zoom. Participants need access to a laptop or tablet with a camera and microphone, a quiet and private space to join from, and to have made sure they can access Zoom. A certificate will be provided.
